The OnePlus 9 was unveiled on March 26, 2021, and is positioned as a high-end smartphone in OnePlus’s lineup. The device has dimensions of 160 mm x 74.2 mm x 8.7 mm and weighs 192 grams. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset and offers 8 or 12 GB of RAM along with 128 or 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The phone features a Fluid AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The camera system, developed in collaboration with Hasselblad, includes a 48 MP main sensor, a 50 MP ultrawide sensor, and a 2 MP depth sensor. The device is equipped with a 4500 mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging and 15W fast wireless charging. It runs on OxygenOS based on Android 11 and does not have an official IP water resistance rating.
