The iPad Mini 2 and iPad Mini 3 are compact tablet computers designed by Apple Inc. The iPad Mini 2 was released in November 2013, while the iPad Mini 3 was released on October 22, 2014. Both devices feature a 7.9-inch LED-backlit IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2048×1536 pixels. The iPad Mini 3 introduced the Touch ID sensor and was available in a gold color option. The dimensions for both are quite similar, with a height of 200 mm, width of 134.7 mm, and depth of 7.5 mm. The iPad Mini 3 was discontinued on September 9, 2015, and replaced by the iPad Mini 4.
